Moving to London

View through to our ensuite from our room. Our brave luggage that has been trundled through airports, up and down tube station stairs and on and off buses, can be seen in foreground.

Looking into our room from the door. Nice, big room for us to fill up. It is a bit of a shock to go from having a 2 bedroom unit to ourselves to sharing with someone, however because we are such fantastic people, we have no problem getting on with our flatmate.

Our loungeroom. Not much to report here. Our flatmate just got a TV licence, so now we can watch sub-rate TV legally.

Strawberry wine bought from the Schonbrunn Palace christmas markets. We are saving it for a special occasion. Other strawberry related trinkets adorn our window sill.

Birthday girl Peg surrounded by gifts- most of them thanks to Camille, who organised for a gourmet hamper to be delivered on the day! Luckily, birthday calories don't count!

Portobello Road Markets- famous markets in Notting Hill. Many tourists. Damn those tourists. The place is so packed with people, can't imagine what it would be like in summer. You can get practically anything here. We bought coathangers. Purple ones.

Looking down the FORTY SIX STAIRS to our penthouse apartment. Why the top? It's the best!
Our mansions. We are renting a little pocket up the top left.
The area around where we live. Very, very nice houses. Porsches, BMWs and Mercs line the streets. The Magna would look a bit out of place here.

Look! Blue sky! It's true! This is just about the first glimpse of blue sky we have seen. The clouds were rolling in, so we took a photo 1. to prove it does happen and 2. to remember it by. It's quite funny- when the sky is blue, it is seriously a talking point with people. "So, how about that sun today?"

Row of zebra houses around where we live. Thought it was a nice shot.

Went to a HSV day out of the city this day- a lot of homesick aussies have brought their cars over here. It was quite funny to see. Some were even registered in Australia. Good to see some muscle cars after so many rice-burners around here.

Nothing like Bathurst, however about the same temperature.
